Attorney William J. Cutchin
William J. (“Bill”) Cutchin is an attorney who started Cutchin Law Firm in Mount Pleasant, SC. His areas of practice are concentrated primarily in Estate Planning and Asset Protection, and he also handles Probate and Small Business Law matters.
Bill received his B.A. degree from Wofford College. He then worked in various banks for 17 years in the area of credit administration and commercial loans. Upon leaving the banking profession, Bill owned and operated a consulting business. He then went into an ownership and management position with his brother’s light manufacturing company. That company had about 30 employees.
At the age of 48, Bill decided to change his career and entered the University of South Carolina School of Law. He graduated from there with his JD degree in 1998 and in November, 1998 he was admitted to the South Carolina Bar.
Becoming an attorney at a later age allows Bill to analyze the needs and desires of his clients from a wide perspective, often resulting in alternatives the client had not even known were possible.
Bill speaks to various professional groups and in seminars on topics relating to his areas of practice. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Charleston County Bar association.
